Custom Calling Features

Call Blocking
Prevents your number from appearing on Caller ID boxes
1. Dial *67.
2. Place your call.
Note: You must follow the directions each time you wish to block your number. If the party you are calling has Anonymous Call Rejection, your call will not go through.
Call Forwarding
Transfer your calls to any local number
1. At the tone, press *72.
2. Dial the local number where you want the phone to ring.
3. At the double tone, replace the receiver.

To cancel call forwarding

1. Press *73.
2. At double tone, replace the receiver. Calls will now ring back on your phone.
Call Forwarding Busy Program
Select where you want your calls to go when your line is busy
1. Dial *90.
2. Dial Local Number you want to ring.

To cancel Call Forwarding Busy
1. Dial *91.
Call Forward No Answer Program
Select where you want your calls to go when you don't answer.

1. Dial *92.
2. Dial Local Number you want to ring.
3. At the double tone, hang up.

To cancel Call Forwarding Busy
1. Dial *93.

Call Waiting
Never miss a call
1. When you hear a click while on the line, press the switch hook for 1 second.

2. Press the switch hook for 1 second each time you want to switch between calls.

Note : You should cancel call waiting to use a modem.
To cancel waiting.
1. Listen for dial tone.
2. Press *70.

3. Dial the number. Call waiting is restored when you hang up.

Caller ID (with number)
Know who is calling before you answer (Box required.)

1. Connect the phone cable from the wall to the Caller ID box.
2. Connect the shorter phone cable from the Caller ID box to the phone.
3. Refer to the instruction booklet for your Caller ID box for further instructions.
Note: All numbers will not appear on your box. Any call which is blocked will not appear. Many long distance numbers will not appear if the call is routed through a city which does not have Caller ID capability.

Distinctive Ringing
Select up to 12 numbers to ring differently

1. Dial *61.
2. Listen for message to know whether Distinctive Ring is on or off.
3. If off, press 3 to turn it on. If on, press 3 to turn it off.
To add specific numbers to your list
1. Press *61.
2. Press # and wait for the tone.
3. Dial the selected number.
4. Press #.
5. Wait 4 seconds and hang up.

To remove specific numbers from your list

1. Dial *61.
2. Press #, and wait for the tone.
3. Dial the selected number.
4. Press #, wait 4 seconds, hang up.
To add the last incoming call to your list
1. After call, hang up and listen for dial tone.
2. Press *61.
3. Press #01#.
4. Wait 4 seconds and hang up.
Notes
:
1. Distinctive Ring also works on long distance calls (where technologically possible).
2. If you have call waiting, you can identify calls by the short/long/short tone.

Repeat Dialing
Redial a busy number without waiting by the phone.
1. After getting a busy signal, hang up.
2. Lift receiver & dial *66.
3. Wait for the recording, then hang up.
4. Repeat Dialing will monitor the line for 30 minutes.
5. A distinctive ring lets you know when the line you were calling
is free.

To cancel Repeat Dialing

1. Dial *86.
2. Repeat dialing will cancel automatically after 30 minutes.
Notes:
1. Repeat Dialing can monitor more than one line at a time.
2. This will not work for telephone registration.
Selective Call Rejection
Prevent up to 12 numbers from calling your line

1. Dial *60.
2. Listen for recording to tell whether service is on or off.
3. Press 3 to turn on/off.

Add the last incoming call

1. Hang up, lift the receiver and dial *60.
2. Dial #01#, wait 4 seconds then hang up.

Add a specific number to the list.

1. Dial *60.
2. Dial #, wait for the tone.
3. Dial the selected number.
4. Press #, wait 4 seconds and hang up.

Remove a number from the list.

1. Dial *60.
2. Listen for instructions.

3 Way Calling
Conference calling

1. Dial the first number.
2. Press the switch hook, listen for dial tone.
3. Dial the other party.
4. Press the switch hook, all three parties are now connected.

To disconnect 3 way call
.
Hang up from both parties.
Note: If you initiate the call you must remain on the line or all parties will be disconnected.

*69 (Return Call)
Return the last call to your line

1. Lift the receiver and listen for dial tone.
2. Press *69. An automated voice will give the last number if it is not private.
3. To call that number press 1. The call is made automatically. If the number is busy, a distinctive ring will signal the line is free for up to 30 minutes.

To cancel *69

1. Lift receiver and listen for dial tone.
2. Press *89.
3. Return call will deactivate automatically if you do not receive a distinctive ring within 30 minutes.

For Harassing/Threatening Calls
Call Trace
Trace harassing phone calls back to the point of origin.
1. Immediately after receiving a harassing phone call, hang up.
2. Lift receiver, dial *57, follow instructions.
3. After getting the recording, hang up. Lift the receiver and dial 644-1234.
4. The number will be released to the FSU Police.
Note: This is for harassing or threatening calls only. A police report must be filed. There will be a charge for a successful trace.
