Florida LambdaRail is a consortium of higher education institutions who are cooperating to build a state-wide high-bandwidth research and education network for Florida. The consortium is embodied as Florida LambdaRail LLC, a Florida limited liability company. Florida State University (FSU) is a founding member of FLR. We also provide local area technical assistance for the statewide FLR infrastructure. Larry Conrad is the Chief Information Officer (CIO) and Veronica Sarjeant is the Chief Operations Officer (COO). OTC attends monthly conference calls and also attends occasional face to face meetings.
The entire FSU community enjoys the network benefits of using the FLR and NLR infrastructure. Some researchers require FLR and NLR capabilities to accomplish their goals.
