Call Blocking
Prevents your number from appearing on Caller ID boxes |
To use Call Blocking
1. Dial *67
2. Place your call.
Note:
You must follow the directions each time you wish to block your number.
If the party you are calling has Anonymous Call Rejection your call will not go through. |
Call Pickup
Intercept calls coming in to other lines in your "group" without leaving your desk. |
Refer to the instructions for your phone.
Press CALL PICKUP to intercept incoming calls within your preprogrammed group.
OR
Press *76 to intercept incoming calls within your preprogrammed group. |
Call Waiting
Never miss a call. |
Refer to the instructions for your phone.
Depress the switch hook for 1 second to switch between callers.
Tip:
Dial *70 to disable call waiting when using a modem. |
Dedicated Music on Hold
You select the music source that your callers will hear when placed on hold. |
Press
the hold button.
For ITT Cortelco or Vodavi (all
analog phones).
With the caller on the line, press Link or Flash.
Dial *95 and hang up.
To return to the caller, lift the handset.

Distinctive Ring
Select up to 12 numbers to ring differently. |
To activate / deactivate Distinctive Ring
1. Dial *61.
2. Listen for message to know whether Distinctive Ring is on or off.
3. If it's off, press 3 to turn it on. If it's on, press 3 to turn it off.
To add specific numbers to your list
1. Press *61.
2. Press # and wait for the tone.
3. Dial the selected number.
4. Press #.
5. Wait 4 seconds and hang up.
To remove specific numbers from your list
1. Dial *61.
2. Press #, and wait for the tone.
3. Dial the selected number.
4. Press #, wait 4 seconds, hang up..
To add the last incoming call to your list
1. After call, hang up and listen for dial tone.
2. Press *61.
3. Press #01#.
4. Wait 4 seconds and hang up.
Notes
1. Distinctive Ring also works on long distance calls (where technologically possible).
2. If you have call waiting, you can identify calls by the short/long/short tone. |
Intercom
Call other members of your office with a simple two-digit code, while leaving your phone line free for incoming calls. |
1. Refer to the instructions for your phone.
2. Lift the handset and press GIC or IC.
3. Dial the Intercom number you wish to call.

Return Call
Return the last call to your line. |
To use *69:
1. Lift the handset and listen for dial tone.
2. Press *69. An automated voice will give the last number if it is not private.
3. To call that number, press 1. The call is made automatically. If the number is busy, a distinctive ring will signal the line is free for up to 30 minutes. |
Ring Again
Tired of busy signals? This feature monitors the status of on-campus numbers and notifies you when the line is free. |
Refer to the instructions for your phone.
After getting a busy signal for an on-campus number, press Link.
After the tone, dial *77, wait for the confirmation tone, then hang up.
OR
After getting a busy signal for an on-campus number, press Ring Again.
When the line you are monitoring is free, your phone will ring.
Lift the handset and the number will automatically dial. |
Programming Speed Call
Program up to 30 (0-29) frequently dialed numbers to make dialing as easy as pressing 1 or 2 digits!
(Your list can be shared with other office members.) |
- Lift the handset and dial *74 (for Speed Call Short) or *75 (for Speed Call Long).
- After the tone, dial a one-digit code (0-9) for Speed Call Short or a two-digit code (00-29) for Long.
- Dial the phone number, exactly as you would normally dial it (4-XXXX or 9-XXX-XXXX).
- Press the # key.
After the tone, the number has been saved and you can hang up. |

Programming a Pause
A pause can be programmed any time you are speed dialing an automated service where you listen to a message and then enter another number. Examples would be using a calling card or a voice mailbox with multiple extensions. |
Refer to the instructions for your phone. "Pause" is entered as a digit in the phone number.
1. Enter the main phone number.
2. When you reach the place where you want to add the pause, press the *'Pause' key this varies from phone to phone, see below.
3. Enter the digits that you want to have your phone dial after the pause.
