Closed Circuit TV (CCTV) and other video security solutions are now in greater demand on the FSU Campus. In an effort to fulfill this demand, the Office of Telecommunications (OTC) has added CCTV to its suite of security products and services. OTC is responsible for the ordering and installation of all CCTV Systems on campus and coordinates all work with the FSU Police Department (FSUPD), FSUCard Center, Purchasing, and Environmental Health and Safety. The FSUPD plays a major role in all requests and system designs and provides final approval on all orders.
CCTV is an enhancement to the security systems currently offered and may be used in a variety of security applications. Camera equipment can vary widely in scope and cost due to differences in the application, cameras and cabling. The purchase and installation of cameras is charged to the department, while connection to the University CCTV network incurs a monthly network connectivity charge, per camera.

CCTV is NOT monitored by either the FSUPD or the OTC. Images are captured digitally and can be retrieved if and when necessary.
